Holcim is seeking a Head of External Communications to lead relations, drive corporate reporting and protect our reputation as we elevate our positioning as a leading partner for building solutions. 

 

The Impact You’ll Make

You will drive media strategy, corporate reporting and manage issues across global markets.

• Drive the Global Narrative: Position Holcim as the world’s leading partner in sustainable, circular, energy-efficient resilient and smart building solutions—from foundation and flooring to walling and roofing 

• Lead Executive & Media Presence: Brief senior leaders including ExCo and Country CEOs for teir 1 engagements; build high-impact relationships with top-tier international, national, and industry trade media

• Master Issues & Reputation Management: Proactively steer corporate issues and act as senior counsel during high-stakes situations.

• Transform Corporate Reporting: Elevate both financial and non-financial reporting into compelling omni channel communication.

• Mobilize the Network: Mentor a direct team of communications specialists while leading and inspiring a global network of 200+ communicators.

 

Who You Are

• The Leader: 10+ years in corporate communications, PR agencies, or business journalism with a proven track record in a global corporate environment (Swiss / SMI experience preferred).

• The Strategist: Expert in integrated omnichannel communications, public affairs, and crisis management.

• The Spokesperson: Outspoken advocate with the executive presence to engage media, counsel senior leadership, and represent Holcim globally.

• The Collaborator: Entrepreneurial self-starter who drives results through direct leadership and functional influence.

• Languages: Fluent in English; proficiency in German is a strong plus.

Travel Requirements: 

 

• Ability to travel internationally (20%)
