Professor & Head of the Winterthur Institute of Health Economics (WIG) 80–100 %
- Leading further development of the institute with over 30 highly motivated faculty and staff
- Managing the institute together with the heads of the four research centers: Centers for Health Economic Research, HTA and Health Economic Evaluation, Health Care Management, Health Services Research; and the Center for Education & Services
- Together with senior team members responsible for generating third party funding through research and executive education (external funding ratio approximately 80 percent)
- Contributing to teaching and research in one of the topical areas of the institute as a full professor
- Health economist with a PhD in Economics, Health Economics, or a closely related Social/Health Science discipline with a strong publication history in leading peer-reviewed journals
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to drive strategic development and identify new research opportunities (thinking out of the box)
- Strong, proven leadership capabilities with exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
- Strong and proven track record in acquiring substantial third-party funding and competitive research grants
- Experience in developing and positioning executive education programs
- Established, active, and influential professional network across national and international healthcare and academic sectors
- Deep, nuanced understanding of the Swiss healthcare system, its regulatory framework, and current policy challenges
- Extensive experience directing and performing policy-relevant, applied health economic research
- Demonstrated ability to teach and mentor across diverse audiences and academic levels (fluent in German and English)
