  • Lead and professionally, strategically and organisationally develop a research group in the field of beverage innovation. 
  • Lead, support and develop a multidisciplinary team. 
  • Plan, manage and coordinate the research group's human and financial resources. 
  • Acquire third-party funding and take overall responsibility for applied research and development projects in collaboration with partners from the food industry. 
  • Module responsibility: Design, coordinate and teach modules on the Bachelor's degree programme in Food Science, with a focus on process and product development for liquid and semi-solid foods. 
  • Supervise term papers, Bachelor's theses and Master's theses. 
  • Actively promote knowledge transfer and build and maintain professional networks with academic and industry partners at national and international level. 
  • Contribute to the development of continuing professional development programmes. 
  • Play an active role in the strategic development of the centre.
  • You hold a university degree and a PhD in Food Science, Food Technology, Process Engineering or a related discipline. You have at least five years of experience in industrial or industry-related research and development, ideally in process and product development for liquid and semi-solid foods or in beverage innovation. 
  • You have a proven track record of acquiring, managing and delivering applied research and development projects and enjoy leading and developing interdisciplinary teams. You hold a higher education teaching qualification or are willing to obtain one. As teaching is conducted predominantly in German, an excellent command of German is essential. 
  • You are enthusiastic about building and maintaining networks with partners from industry and academia and value interdisciplinary collaboration and professional exchange. 
  • You communicate openly and transparently, treat others with respect, and take responsibility with a high degree of reliability. Your positive and motivating approach enables you to actively shape your working environment and to give and receive constructive feedback. You are also passionate about innovation and committed to developing practice-oriented, high-quality university teaching.
