Die UniBE ist renommiert.
Bei uns profitieren Sie vom guten Ruf einer traditionsreichen Institution in der ganzen Welt. We are offering a PhD position to a highly motivated student. The research project investigates the impact of biomechanical stimulation, recreating the mechanical environment of bone tissue under physiological and dental surgical conditions, on cell-cell and cell-matrix interactions involved in early bone healing events. The project will utilize a variety of cell and molecular biological techniques to investigate molecular interactions that provide instructive cues for osteogenesis and osseointegration, with the aim of supporting personalized treatment approaches in dental implantology.
  • Master's degree in Cell or Molecular Biology. Candidates with a Master's degree in Dental Medicine will also be considered.
  • Previous experience in cell culture techniques (primary and immortalized cells), as well as cell and molecular biological methods, is a strong asset.
  • Additional experience in genomics, bioinformatics, imaging, and related image-analysis technologies is advantageous but not required.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English.
  • Ability to work both under supervision and independently, while contributing to a collaborative team environment.

This will complement the laboratory training with opportunities for further academic education.
  • Access to modern laboratory infrastructure and central university core facilities.
  • The opportunity to contribute to highly translational research projects and to produce results of interest to a broad audience, ranging from basic researchers to clinicians in the fields of dental implantology, oral and maxillofacial surgery, and orthopedics.
