Senior Manager Business Development Food & Beverages Ingredients Asia Pacific
About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Manager, Business Development to drive regional growth within the Food & Beverage (F&B) Ingredients segment across Asia Pacific.
This role will lead strategic business development initiatives, strengthen key supplier partnerships, and support country teams in delivering sustainable sales growth. The incumbent will act as a subject matter expert, combining strong commercial acumen with deep technical understanding of F&B ingredients and applications.
What You Will Deliver
1. Regional Business Development & Strategy
- Develop and execute the regional strategy for the F&B Ingredients segment
- Translate strategy into actionable plans with clear priorities and measurable outcomes
- Conduct market analysis, benchmarking, and identify growth opportunities
- Lead regular strategy reviews with country teams
2. Sales Enablement & Operational Support
- Support and guide country teams in sales activities, customer management, and key initiatives
- Provide coaching, training, and share commercial best practices across markets
- Monitor and manage project pipelines and sales performance
- Organize and lead regional business reviews and monthly coordination calls
3. Customer & Partner Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with regional suppliers and key clients
- Support onboarding of new principals, products, and customers
- Act as a trusted advisor in client engagements and solution development
- Ensure consistent service excellence and alignment with DKSH’s customer-centric approach
4. Innovation & Market Development
- Identify new applications, solutions, and business opportunities in F&B ingredients
- Contribute to product roadmap development and commercialization strategies
- Collaborate with marketing on campaigns, thought leadership, and digital content
- Support new business pitches and regional growth initiatives
5. Leadership & Stakeholder Management
- Act as subject matter expert and thought leader in F&B segments
- Influence and align diverse stakeholders across countries and functions
- Coach and guide teams to enhance commercial and technical capabilities
- Drive collaboration and knowledge sharing across the region
What You Bring
Experience & Competencies
- Minimum 10+ years of commercial experience in Food & Beverage ingredients (sales, marketing, or business development)
- Strong understanding of F&B applications (e.g., beverages, bakery, processed food, nutraceuticals)
- Proven track record in regional or multi-market roles within Asia Pacific
- Excellent negotiation, influencing, and stakeholder management skills
- Strong communication and presentation capabilities
- Experience in distributor or ingredient business is highly advantageous
Education
- Degree (or higher) in Food Technology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field
