Strong experimental background in ultrafast optics, laser spectroscopy, frequency-comb technology, remote sensing, or related areas
Independence, excellent project management skills and enthusiasm for interdisciplinary climate research
Additional assets: experience with dual-comb spectroscopy, nonlinear frequency conversion, free-space optical links, atmospheric sensing, or field-deployed instrumentation. A 2-year postdoctoral position at the interface of frequency-comb technology, laser spectroscopy, atmospheric physics, isotope science, and climate research
Access to excellent infrastructure in our laser labs and to research stations in the Swiss alps
A visible role in a new interdisciplinary initiative with strong potential for high-impact publications and follow-up funding
Attractive employment conditions and competitive salary (gross annual range CHF 91,000 – 103,000) according to the regulations of the Canton of Bern.
