PostDoc Position in Late-Stage Functionalization (Industry Collaboration)

This project combines a variety of disciplines and tools in the broader field of chemical peptide synthesis and late-stage modification. You will design, synthesize and modify amino acids, and will use them in peptide synthesis using our state-of-the-art fully automated synthesis platform, and Johnson & Johnson's high throughput facilities. You will furthermore be driving the characterization of chemically synthesized peptides using various analytical techniques (UHPLC, LCMS, CD, etc.). We are looking for a highly motivated, curious and enthusiastic PostDoc to continue a research collaboration between the Hartrampf group (University of Zurich), and Johnson & Johnson (Toledo, Spain). The candidate should hold a PhD in chemistry and should have expertise in peptide chemistry (SPPS) and synthetic organic chemistry. Additional expertise in peptide late-stage functionalization, photochemistry, chemical engineering or high-throughput experimentation is a plus but not required. You are adept at working in an open, interdisciplinary, and collaborative environment that you will contribute to with curiosity, scientific agility, self-motivation, and strong communication skills.
